What is an Opamp or Operational Amplifier? – Block Diagram | New Note [2024]
In this note, we are going to know about a topic called “What is an Opamp or Operational Amplifier?“, Block Diagram and Application of Opamp. Welcome to Poly Notes Hub, an one stop solution for diploma engineering notes.
An Opamp, or operational amplifier, is a circuit capable of performing mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, integration, and differentiation.
Block Diagram of Opamp
The operational amplifier’s block diagram is shown below. Take note that the opamp is in a multistage amplifier. The stages are as follows: the differential amplifier input stage, the high gain CE amplifier, and the output stage. The Differential Amplifier is the primary component in this block diagram. The Differential Amplifier accepts two input signals and amplifies the difference between them.
Some important points of Operational Amplifier –
The input stage of operational amplifier is the differential amplifier.
The Internal stage of this circuit is directly coupled.
