What is Energy Resources?

Natural stocks or reservoirs of materials from which energy can be collected or harvested to fulfill human requirements are referred to as energy resources. These resources can be divided into a number of groups according to their characteristics, source, and renewability. Renewable and non-renewable energy sources are both considered energy-resources.

Types of Energy Resources with examples

There are two types of Energy Resources –

  1. Renewable Energy-Resources
  2. Non-Renewable Energy-Resources

1. Renewable Energy

Renewable energy sources are those that are naturally replenished and can be sustained throughout time. They are regarded as environmentally benign because they emit little to no greenhouse gases or air pollutants while generating power.

Examples: Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Biomass energy, and Hydroelectric Energy etc.

2. Non-Renewable Energy

Non-renewable energy sources are those that exist in limited quantities and cannot be renewed in human time or within tolerable timelines. These resources are often created over millions of years by geological processes and are depleted considerably faster than they are replaced.

Examples: Coal, Oil, Natural Gas etc.

  1. Hello! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a collection of volunteers and starting a new project in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us useful information to work on. You have done a marvellous job!

  2. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the page layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
