About Cofactors of Determinant: The cofactors of an element is obtained by multiplying the minor of that element by (−1)^i+j, where i and j are the row and column indices of the element, respectively. Cofactors play a significant role in finding the determinant of a matrix using the method of cofactor expansion, where you express the determinant as a sum of products of elements and their corresponding cofactors.
