What is Energy Conservation?

There are several ways by which we can do conservation of energy –
- By improving energy efficiency.
- By changing behavior that reduces energy consumption.

- By proper planning of any electrical design.
- By following regulation and policy which are introduced by the government.
Some examples of energy conservation –
- Replacing standard halogen or fluorescent bulbs with energy-efficient LED lights may significantly decrease lighting-related consumption of electricity.
- The correct insulating of walls, roofs, and windows can reduce heat loss in winter and gain in summer, lowering costs for cooling and heating.
- Working from home, if possible, lowers the need for transportation and the energy consumed in offices, such as lighting, heating, and air conditioning.
- Placing solar panels, wind turbines, or other renewable energy systems can provide renewable energy on-site, decreasing dependency on petroleum and coal and grid power.
- Upgrading to Energy Star-rated or equivalent appliances can reduce energy use for chores like refrigeration, cooking, and laundry.
